About Us

Who We Are

We are a group of students from Rice University who noticed the immense popularity of the Rice Purity Test across the internet.

However, we also realized that some of the questions in the traditional test can be highly personal, abusive, or adult-themed, making many students feel uncomfortable.

As peers and members of our university's Well-being and Counseling Center, we've seen firsthand how this test can spark unnecessary anxiety and even discourage participation due to its inappropriate content.

What We Offer

In our Student Well-being Workshops, we discussed the Rice Purity Test extensively and identified a growing need for a safer, more secure, and student-friendly version of the test.

We believe such a test should respect individual boundaries and promote mental well-being without compromising the fun and social engagement of taking it.

With these insights, we decided to redesign the Rice Purity Test to make it a positive and inclusive experience for everyone. Our version is free from harmful, adult-themed, or abusive content.

It's tailored to be a lighthearted and supportive tool that helps students reflect on their experiences while maintaining comfort and dignity.

Our Mission

We also welcome partnerships with colleges, graduate apartments, student groups, and other campus offices to promote further well-being through workshops and discussions.

You can fill out the Well-being Program Request Form to request a program or workshop for your group.

We aim to offer a test that students can confidently take and share freely on social media, building self-confidence and fostering a sense of community.

By providing a healthier alternative, we aim to make the Rice Purity Test a tool that celebrates individuality and encourages open, respectful student conversations.

eCHECKUP TO GO

The eCHECKUP TO GO is a confidential and evidence based online self-assessment tool created by San Diego State University psychologists.

This program provides students with personalized feedback and insights into their drinking habits, cannabis use, or tobacco use, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being.
